It was a busy and exhausting weekend. Jacob was on call and basically gone most of the weekend so it was just me and the littles. But we had a fun outing with friends to Hyde Park to take a picture at the Pumpkin Patch. 1000 degrees here in FL but here we are posing with our Pumpkins!!

Linking my Tom’s shoes here. They’re comfortable and seem to be a good neutral transition shoe for Spring and Fall! I also love how they look with denim.

Fall LipColors

October 23, 2020 by admin Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

There’s just something about a lip color that POPS that can completely transform a look.. and I love fall colors. I’ve rounded up my favorites below!

Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color in “Divine Wine”

This one is a staple for me! I have seen it on multiple people and it looks great on everyone! Linked here from Target. Plus… it’s cheap!

Ulta Luxe Lipstick in “Red Flag”

Love this option from Ulta! It’s very similar to Divine Wine but a little more pricy. I would say it’s probably a better product though and really only $9!

Smashbox “Legendary”

This one is Smashbox, so it’s a little more pricy. I have linked it here on amazon for $23. I also found it on Ulta for $21, linked here.

Revlon “Wine with Everything”

Another good steal under $5 is this “True Red” option. Linked on Amazon here.

Revlon “Black Cherry”

Another Revlon favorite is this shade “Black Cherry”, linked here from Walmart and here from Target, both under $5!

Covergirl “Euphoria” lipstick

A berry shade, this one has been one of my favorites for awhile! Linked here on Amazon for under $6!

Kylie Lip Kit in “Posie K”

I’m actually really really loving this color again. It goes on super smooth. Linked here on Amazon for $27 and comes with a lip liner. Also very similar to the color below by Stila, but slightly more of a pink tone.

Stila “Patina”

Y’all I saved the BEST for last.. this is the DEAL OF THE DAY! RUN to AMAZON and grab this lip color for $11. I love these Stila Liquid Lipsticks!

Target has us covered for Fall staples this year! I styled these 2 pairs of pants and skirt with one pair of shoes multiple different ways just to show the versatility! These are great staples for your closet and such steals for the price! All linked below.

Leopard obsessed. These pants are only $25 and so comfortable! They run slightly large so size down. They are completely stretch and the print is a neutral leopard so there are so many possibilities. Paired with these shoes I love from A New Day at Target.

These shoes are on sale right now at Target.com with the Cartwheel app!

I think these pants look great with this scalloped J.Crew camisole, which is a great closet staple as well! These run small, so size up!

J. Crew Factory Scalloped cami top in Black
J.Crew Factory Scalloped cami top in “Marine Salt”

Next up is probably my favorite! This very neutral, leopard midi skirt. This also runs large, so size down! So cute and could be dressed so many ways. I think another great option would be a chunky oversized or fitted sweater!

Another great closet staple is a leather jacket. Obviously, these can either be a steal or a splurge! For a steal, I like this option from target.

Target Women’s Classic Moto Jacket

For a splurge, I love this option by Chelsea28 on the Nordstrom website, priced at $209.

Last are these pants by A New Day from Target in the PERFECT shade of Cranberry. Again, priced at only $25, they would be perfect for work or casual, fun wear! I also think this color would be really pretty styled for Christmas with a chunky cream or white sweater!

I paired my pants with this lace cami from Ann Taylor that is now sold out, but I am linking a few alternative options like this cute racerback option from Express.

Target really does have it all. Curbside pickup is also making it way too easy to grab the things I want! I picked up a few Fall shoe staples and I’m loving all of them! All shoes are 20% off right now using the cartwheel app!

First up is probably my favorite pair.. who doesn’t love leopard print?

These shoes by “A New Day” are so great. Pair them with a neutral outfit and they give your look a fun pop! Find them here at only $25!

This second pair I actually wasn’t expecting to like as much as I do.. They’re incredibly comfortable! These ones are by Universal Threads and also only $25 but have memory foam!

This third pair is definitely a steal… they will go with so much! They’ll look great with jeans, skirts, dresses.. everything! And a perfect neutral fall color. Love these!!

Only $20 and they can be found here by “A New Day”

Last – but certainly not least! – are these cute black heeled shoes. I love the strap around the ankle and the feminine vibe! These would also be great paired with skirts, pants and dresses!

These are $28 and also made by “A New Day”, found here.

SNS Dip KIT

October 19, 2020 by admin Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

There is something about having a fresh manicure that makes me feel completely put together. I will say I didn’t do it THAT often mainly because of working in healthcare and how hard I am on my hands with frequent hand-washing. Even shellac never lasted very long for me (maybe a week, tops!)

Recently, a friend of mine posted a picture of her nails and they were gorgeous! I immediately messaged her and asked for details and she told me it was super easy, and that she ordered her SNS dip kit off of amazon. I followed her lead and ordered the dip kit AND the same color powder.

The color is “Cupid’s Arrow” by SNS and you can find it here. The dip kit is less than $34 and you can find it here.

It couldn’t be any easier!

The first step is just filing and shaping your nails. You’ll need a good nail file like this one on amazon. Another great tool is a nail block like this one.

After filing, wash your hands and dry thoroughly and apply the “Bond” which is basically just a dehydrator. You don’t have to be precise.

You’re now ready for the dipping! Do each nail one at a time, and coat with a thin layer of the “Gel Base” and immediately dip the finger in the powder to coat. Once you’ve finished a hand, brush the excess off with a paint brush. Coat each nail with the “Super Dry Sealer”. Repeat this process 2-3x depending on the color you like.

When you finish the above steps on each hand, you again file your nails down with the nail block to smooth them. You may need a coarser file depending on the thickness of your powder layer.

When you’re finished filing, wash and dry your hands once more and top each nail with a coat of “super shine gel top” and then you’re done!!

Let the mess happen.

October 18, 2020 by admin Filed Under: Uncategorized 1 Comment

Let me share what the hardest part of motherhood is for me. It’s not the sleepless nights, the temper tantrums or the picky eating. It’s the mess.

I grew up in a house with “decorative towels”. You know, the kind that are hanging perfectly in the bathroom but you’re not supposed to actually touch or use them. This characteristic of things being neat, tidy and “clean” has carried into my adulthood and ultimately, into my mothering.

I’ve struggled with allowing Charlotte to feed herself because it always leads to food and crumbs all over the kitchen floor. The finger paints say “washable” but they stain the clothes and anything she may touch. The kinetic sand crumbles and leaves behind the tiniest pieces. The possibilities are endless.. and so is the cleaning!

A very dear friend of mine has walked this journey of motherhood with me. Our girls are a day apart and although she lives in Texas, we share constant texts and photos about our day-to-day. I admire her ability to just let her babies grow on their own, cultivating their creativity and allowing them to explore. She is constantly reminding me to let the mess happen.

Let the mess happen, because that’s when the memories are made.

The shaving cream on the counters and floor from when you played with it in your hands. You thought it was the funniest thing to put it on your face.

The noodles on the chair from when you looked at me with a smile and said “more s’ghetti please?”. You ate the most that night.

The toys scattered around the house from your imaginary play. Your horses are where you left them, eating pumpkin on the coffee table.

The pillows from the couch, tossed around the living room.. from the time you jumped and squealed. Climbing is your favorite.

The mashed banana all over the kitchen from when we made muffins. You love to help mommy.

All of these messes led to your sweet memories. I know you won’t remember the mess, and I’m trying not to either! But I hope we can both hold onto these memories.

Life Before COVID

October 16, 2020 by admin Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Do you guys remember it? It’s almost hard to. Life before COVID was so different.

I would give anything to be the woman in this picture pushing this cart again. It was taken on February 15, 2020 and I can remember this moment so vividly. Charlotte and I were leaving Wegmans and I had bought her this balloon to try and keep her entertained. She was at the age where getting through the store was a struggle. I remember it was after Valentine’s Day and I grabbed the balloon thinking it would be on sale but it wasn’t. What I would give to have a dumb trivial annoyance like that again!

Two days before the Wegmans trip, Charlotte and I were flying back from house hunting in Florida and Charlotte was leaning over our seat on the plane playing with the little boy sitting behind her. What I would give to see her be carefree and playing like this again! No masks on this flight. No open middle seats. No fear. Just strangers on a plane letting their kids play with each other. What I would give to be that parent without worry again!

If we somehow make it back to the normal we once knew, I promise to never take these moments for granted. I think we can all appreciate that!

I miss the memories from life before COVID.

One of my best friends recently sent me this thoughtful box and I’m obsessed!! I think it would make the perfect “just because gift” or birthday, Christmas, or bridesmaid gift!

The packaging is absolutely beautiful. All boxes range in price from $35-$90 so there are definitely plenty of options!

Their products are vegan, homemade and based out of Georgia.

If you’re having a bachelorette party or getting married soon, they have the cutest options for invitations, koozies or bridesmaid gifts! A box would also make a sweet gift for a bride-to-be!

I’ve had this necklace on repeat! It makes the perfect layering necklace or is even pretty on its own. I also love this scrunchie because it doesn’t leave marks in my hair if I throw it up while playing with the kids!

Amazon prime deals

October 13, 2020 by admin Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Amazon has to be the most dangerous website. Credit card linked, quick click and it ships to your house in a day or two… yikes! But how exciting are these finds?

Click the picture for the link 🙂

I’ve heard amazing things about this T3 curling iron! I think I need it!

If you follow @TheSisterStudioIG then you know….! Excited to try this!! I’m trying Jen Reed’s fave: Rose, but I was tempted by Red and Peach!

I literally use this everyday! I love it.

Hair Bows- such a great deal. I used the first size when Charlotte was around a year and half and lately we’ve been using this second larger size!

This is a great deal for $18! I have one and love it.

I love these for a coffee table! Amazon has several options on prime deal right now!

I think I am going to get this for Charlotte’s room for Christmas!

This stuff is great!

I would literally buy this in every color!
